MSME Udyam registered. CE certified for export. Every Philips UV-C lamp supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Systems designed to BIS, CPCB, WHO, Schedule M, HACCP, and FSSAI compliance standards.
Ministry of MSME, Government of India
Alpha UV System is registered under the MSME Udyam scheme as a manufacturing enterprise. This registration provides MSME purchase preference for government tenders and enables simplified procurement documentation for urban local body customers and public sector projects.
Relevant for: Government procurement, MSME preference, public sector tenders
Self-declaration (EU Machinery Directive)
Alpha UV System UV disinfection systems for export are CE marked in compliance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. CE marking enables direct sale in EU member states and is required for sale in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and many other export markets that accept CE as a quality reference.
Relevant for: Export to EU, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and CE-accepting markets
Philips UV-C — Certificate of Authenticity
Every Philips UV-C lamp supplied with an Alpha UV System carries a Philips Certificate of Authenticity confirming rated UV-C output, rated lamp life (9,000–12,000 hours), and compliance with CE, RoHS, and NSF standards. CDSCO and HACCP auditors can verify lamp authenticity through Philips documentation.
Relevant for: Pharma Schedule M audits, HACCP verification, FSSAI compliance
Risk assessment per ISO 12100 (Machinery Directive alignment)
Alpha UV System UV disinfection systems are designed in accordance with ISO 12100:2010 — the international standard for safety of machinery covering risk assessment and risk reduction. This covers electrical safety interlocks, UV-C lamp enclosure design, maintenance access, and warning labelling. ISO 12100 alignment is required for CE marking under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and is referenced by auditors in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC markets.
Relevant for: CE export certification, EU and GCC market entry, machinery safety audits
EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) — Restriction of Hazardous Substances
Philips UV-C lamps supplied with Alpha UV systems are compliant with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, which restricts use of hazardous substances including lead, mercury (within exemption limits for UV-C discharge lamps), cadmium, and chromium. RoHS compliance documentation is included with every export shipment to EU, UAE, and GCC markets and is required for ISO 14001 environmental management audits.
Relevant for: EU and GCC export, ISO 14001 audits, environmental compliance documentation
ISO 9001:2015 — In Progress
Alpha UV System is currently implementing a Quality Management System for ISO 9001:2015 certification. Our manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and supply chain controls are being structured to meet ISO 9001 requirements. Certification is anticipated in 2026. Our IIT Patna engineering practices already meet the technical rigour required by ISO 9001 — the certification formalises these into a documented QMS.
Alpha UV System designs and documents every system to the compliance standard specific to your industry and application.
BIS IS 10500:2012
Indian Standard for drinking water quality — our drinking water UV systems are designed to achieve BIS IS 10500:2012 microbiological compliance.
CPCB Discharge Norms
STP/ETP effluent UV systems deliver <100 MPN/100ml coliform — meeting CPCB final effluent discharge standards and NGT requirements.
WHO Drinking Water Guidelines
40 mJ/cm² UV dose — the WHO standard for 4-log pathogen inactivation in drinking water — achieved by all Alpha UV System drinking water products.
Revised Schedule M 2025 (CDSCO)
Pharmaceutical UV water treatment systems are supplied with IQ/OQ/PQ documentation templates and UV dose calculation reports prepared by IIT Patna engineers.
HACCP / FSSAI
Commercial and industrial food & beverage UV systems include HACCP CCP documentation packages for FSSAI audit compliance.
ASHRAE 62.1 (UVGI)
UVGI systems for AHU/HVAC are designed to deliver pathogen-specific UV doses per ASHRAE 62.1 and CDC HICPAC infection control guidelines.
When a CDSCO auditor asks how you know your UV dose was actually delivered, the answer starts with the lamp. Generic Chinese UV-C lamps ship with no usable documentation — no certified UV output, no lamp life data, no material compliance certificate.
Every Philips UV-C lamp supplied with an Alpha UV System carries a Philips Certificate of Authenticity stating rated UV-C output at 253.7 nm, rated lamp life in hours, and compliance with CE, RoHS, and NSF/ANSI standards. This is the documentation the auditor needs — and what Chinese lamp suppliers cannot provide.
